My name is Mark Scott, I am a USCG Certified Captain, putting people on fish is something that I have always loved to do, my two biggest concerns while guiding is my clients having a great time and learning something new so that next time they are on the water they can catch more fish. Teaching new techniques to people to help them become more diverse at fishing is a big passion of mine, sometimes in bass fishing we can kind of get stuck in our ways, which results sometimes in skunked days or the dreaded ZERO in a tournament, being diverse can help you avoid that. I have over 30 years of on the water experience, and 20 years of tournament fishing experience. The Tennessee River is a special place and I specialize in Lake Guntersville bass fishing, largemouth and smallmouth trips, as well as crappie fishing. I also do bass and crappie trips on Coosa River especially on Weiss Lake, so if you want to get on some famous Coosa Spots give me a call. I also do pre tournament breakdown trips on several area lakes.

We booked an 8 hour bass trip with Mark on lake Guntersville-WHAT A BLAST! Mark put us on a couple of giant schools of bass, and we wore them out all Day! At the beginning of the trip, Mark asked us what our “goals” were for the trip. We told him we primarily wanted to target top water bites, as we don’t get a ton of that action on our home lakes in East TN. Mark put us on fish within 10 min of being on the boat, and kept us on them all day! No starring at a Garmin all day, and no running 20 miles up and down the lake looking for fish- we just plain- Jane fished, and at around 75 fish later, I’d say we plain- Jane caught em’! Mark Scott was a fantastic fishing guide. He took my 14yr old son out on the water for an afternoon/evening of fishing. He was very knowledgeable on what spots to fish and came well prepared with rods ready to go. My son struggled for a few days to catch fish, but caught a fish within the first 10 minutes of the tour. They caught 20+ fish of all different species. Mark took the time to teach my son about different rods and setups. He also show him how to be more successful on his own in the future on Lake Weiss. Highly recommend. If we ever come back to the area, we will 100% use Mark’s services again!!
